Alberto Moravia was an Italian novelist. He was also a writer of short stories, a journalist, and a screenwriter. He lived from 1907 to 1990. Some of his work is considered to be of relatively high literary merit. His two most famous novels are probably The Time of Indifference (1929) and The Conformist (1947).
